About

Ren has always loved stories.

Whether writing them or reading them, Ren is drawn to grand, heroic quests, space battles, prophecies, tales of post-apocalyptic survival, and alternate realities—fictional worlds where everything’s larger than life and imbued with a glimmer of magic.

Ren grew up training to be an assassin, dabbling in martial arts, rock climbing, archery, snowboarding, horseback riding, scuba diving, and backcountry hiking. Now, a few injuries later, Ren enjoys adventuring vicariously through characters, visiting strange planets and fantastical lands while enjoying the perks of plot armor.

Projects and Pastimes

Ren has worked as a tutor, ghostwriter, and developmental editor for both creative and academic work.

Whenever not drafting novels, crafting scripts, or learning how to forge impractical swords, Ren primarily teaches creative writing for children and teens through the Creative Writing for Children Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering creative literacy.

Ren has a number of projects in-progress, primarily space operas.
